My name is Elena and I am a Russian-born German who came here in 1997. I look forward to working with other committed members to develop projects and ideas that enrich our community and strengthen our sense of togetherness.

Mein Name ist Katharina und ich arbeite in einem Ingelheimer Unternehmen. Als jemand, der selbst nach Deutschland eingewandert ist, weiß ich, wie wichtig Unterstützung und gute Informationen sind. Im Beirat möchte ich dazu beitragen, dass alle Migrantinnen die gleichen Chancen auf ein gutes Ankommen und Teilhabe haben.

My name is Katharina and I work in a company in Ingelheim. As someone who immigrated to Germany myself, I know how important support and good information are. On the advisory board, I would like to help ensure that all migrant women have the same opportunities for a good arrival and participation.

Ich bin in einer bikulturellen Familie aufgewachsen und als ich nach Deutschland kam, habe ich eine dritte Kultur kennengelernt. Diese multikulturelle Erfahrung hilft mir sehr sowohl in meinem Berufs- als auch in meinem Privatleben. Damit die Integration als erfolgreich gilt, muss man die richtigen Impulse in seinem Handeln setzen und ich bin hier, um Dir dabei zu helfen.

I grew up in a family with two cultures, and when I came to Germany, I got to know a third culture. This multicultural experience helps me a lot, both in my professional and personal life. For integration to be considered successful, you need to set the right impulses through your actions, and I am here to help you with that.

Menschen, die zu uns kommen dabei zu unterstützen, hier eine Heimat zu finden, ist mir ein Anliegen. Dazu ist es wichtig, nicht nur ein Ansprechpartner für die Migranten zu sein, sondern auch, für die vielen ehrenamtlichen Helfer vor Ort. Hierzu möchte ich einen Beitrag leisten.

It is important to me to help people who come to us to find a home here. To this end, it is important not only to be a contact person for the migrants, but also for the many volunteers on site. I would like to make a contribution to this.

My aim is to raise awareness of the special concerns of migrants and refugees in political and municipal work. As a member of the advisory council and the district council, I know both perspectives.
