Umfassendes Unterstützungsnetzwerk im Landkreis Mainz-Bingen

Der Übergang von der Schule in den Beruf stellt für junge Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund besondere Herausforderungen dar – durch sprachliche Barrieren, unbekannte Strukturen des deutschen Ausbildungssystems oder fehlende Netzwerke. Die „Jugendberufsagentur plus“ des Landkreises Mainz-Bingen schafft gezielt Unterstützung für eine erfolgreiche Integration in den Arbeitsmarkt.

Kooperation unter einem Dach

Die seit Juli 2020 aktive Jugendberufsagentur plus bündelt die Expertise von Agentur für Arbeit Mainz, Jobcenter Mainz-Bingen und Jugendamt Mainz-Bingen. Unterstützt durch eine Koordinierungsstelle und aufsuchende Beratungsdienste von Caritasverband, CJD und Internationalem Bund werden berufsbezogene Angebote so aufeinander abgestimmt, dass Hilfen wie aus einer Hand angeboten werden.

Zielgruppe: Alle jungen Menschen im Alter von 15-24 Jahren im Landkreis Mainz-Bingen – unabhängig von Schulbesuch, Schulabschluss oder bereits bestehenden Hilfen.

Besondere Unterstützung für Migrantische Zielgruppen

Aufsuchende Arbeit

Die „Jugendberufsagenten“ erreichen junge Menschen direkt in ihrem Lebensumfeld – in Schulen, Jugendzentren oder Wohnvierteln. Für Familien mit Migrationshintergrund, die oft zurückhaltend gegenüber Behörden sind, stellt dies einen wichtigen vertrauensbildenden Ansatz dar.

KAUSA-Kooperationen

Die KAUSA-Servicestelle Rheinland-Pfalz (Koordinierungsstelle Ausbildung und Migration) unterstützt speziell junge Menschen mit Migrations- und Fluchthintergrund sowie deren Eltern. KAUSA hilft beim Weg in die duale Berufsausbildung, vermittelt Praktikums- und Ausbildungsplätze und bietet Begleitung während der Ausbildung.

Sprachförderung

Da das Erlernen der deutschen Sprache die Grundlage für den Einstieg in den Arbeitsmarkt ist, arbeitet die Jugendberufsagentur plus eng mit Sprachkursanbietern zusammen und vermittelt in Integrations- und berufsbezogene Sprachkurse.

Vernetzung als Erfolgsfaktor

Die Koordinierungsstelle vernetzt alle teilnehmenden Akteure und bezieht bedarfsorientiert weitere Partner wie Schulen, Jugendarbeit, Kammern und Wirtschaftsverbände ein. Diese umfassende Vernetzung ist besonders für Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund von Vorteil, da sie oft weniger gut über Unterstützungsmöglichkeiten informiert sind.

Die Handwerkskammern spielen eine wichtige Rolle bei der Integration und unterstützen sowohl Jugendliche als auch Unternehmen mit Migrationshintergrund beim Schaffen und Besetzen von Ausbildungsplätzen.

Fazit

Die Jugendberufsagentur plus zeigt exemplarisch, wie gelingende Integration junger Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund in den Arbeitsmarkt aussehen kann. Durch Bündelung verschiedener Kompetenzen, aufsuchende Arbeit und Kooperation mit spezialisierten Beratungsstellen wie KAUSA wird umfassende, kultursensible Unterstützung angeboten.

Bridges to Career Success for Young People with Migration Background

Comprehensive Support Network in the District of Mainz-Bingen

The transition from school to work poses particular challenges for young people with migration background – through language barriers, unfamiliar structures of the German training system, or lack of networks. The „Jugendberufsagentur plus“ (Youth Employment Agency Plus) of the District of Mainz-Bingen creates targeted support for successful integration into the labor market.

Cooperation Under One Roof

The Jugendberufsagentur plus, active since July 2020, combines the expertise of the Employment Agency Mainz, the Job Center Mainz-Bingen, and the Youth Office Mainz-Bingen. Supported by a coordination center and outreach counseling services from Caritas Association, CJD, and International Association, career-related services are coordinated so that help is offered from a single source.

Target Group: All young people aged 15-24 in the District of Mainz-Bingen – regardless of school attendance, school graduation, or existing assistance.

The „Youth Career Agents“ reach young people directly in their living environment – in schools, youth centers, or neighborhoods. For families with migration background who are often hesitant towards authorities, this represents an important trust-building approach.

KAUSA Cooperations

The KAUSA Service Center Rhineland-Palatinate (Coordination Center for Training and Migration) specifically supports young people with migration and refugee background as well as their parents. KAUSA helps with the path to dual vocational training, mediates internships and apprenticeship positions, and offers support during training.

Language Support

Since learning the German language is the foundation for entering the labor market, the Jugendberufsagentur plus works closely with language course providers and mediates integration and job-related language courses.

Networking as Success Factor

The coordination center networks all participating actors and includes additional partners such as schools, youth work, chambers, and business associations as needed. This comprehensive networking is particularly advantageous for people with migration background, as they are often less well informed about support opportunities.

The chambers of crafts play an important role in integration and support both young people and companies with migration background in creating and filling apprenticeship positions.

The Jugendberufsagentur plus exemplifies how successful integration of young people with migration background into the labor market can look. Through bundling various competencies, outreach work, and cooperation with specialized counseling centers like KAUSA, comprehensive, culturally sensitive support is offered.

Was ist der Beirat?

Der Beirat ist eine Gruppe von Menschen, die sich für Menschen mit ausländischen Wurzeln im
Landkreis Mainz-Bingen einsetzen. Sie helfen, dass alle Menschen gut zusammenleben und fair
behandelt werden.

Wer kann im Beirat mitmachen?

Menschen, die aus anderen Ländern nach Deutschland gekommen sind und jetzt hier wohnen,
können den Beirat wählen.

In den Beirat gewählt werden können alle Menschen, die in unserem Landkreis wohnen und schon
mindestens 16 Jahre alt sind.

Außerdem schickt jede Partei aus dem Kreistag eine Person in den Beirat.

Was macht der Beirat?

• Helfen beim Zusammenleben: Der Beirat setzt sich dafür ein, dass Menschen aus verschiedenen
  Ländern sich gut verstehen und sich wohlfühlen.
• Beratung geben: Der Beirat spricht mit der Verwaltung über Themen, die für Menschen mit
  Migrationshintergrund wichtig sind, zum Beispiel Arbeit, Sprache, Schule, Gleichberechtigung oder
  Asylverfahren.
• Probleme lösen: Der Beirat hilft, wenn Menschen unfair behandelt werden oder Unterstützung
  brauchen.

Wie arbeitet der Beirat?

Der Beirat trifft sich regelmäßig. Diese Treffen heißen ‚Sitzungen‘. Dort besprechen sie wichtige
Themen. Jeder kann zuhören und mitreden.

Wer leitet den Beirat?

Die Vorsitzende des Beirats ist Lale Scherer.

Sie hat zwei Stellvertreter:

• Walter Strutz (zweiter stellvertretender Vorsitzender)

Advisory Board for Migration and Integration – explained simply

What is the Advisory Board?

The Advisory Board is a group of people who work on behalf of people with foreign roots in the Mainz-Bingen district. They help ensure that everyone lives together harmoniously and is treated fairly.

Who can join the Advisory Board?

People who have come to Germany from other countries and now live here can vote for the Advisory Board.Anyone who lives in our district and is at least 16 years old can be elected to the Advisory Board. In addition, each party in the district council sends one person to the Advisory Board.

What does the Advisory Board do?

• Helping people live together: The Advisory Board works to ensure that people from different countries get along well and feel comfortable.
• Providing advice: The advisory board talks to the administration about issues that are important to people with a migrant background, such as work, language, school, equality, and asylum procedures.
• Solving problems: The advisory board helps when people are treated unfairly or need support.

How does the advisory board work?

The advisory board meets regularly. These meetings are called “sessions.” There they discuss important issues. Everyone can listen and join in the discussion.

Who heads the advisory board?

The chair of the advisory board is Lale Scherer.

She has two deputies:

Am 10. November 2024 finden in Rheinland-Pfalz die Wahlen zu den Beiräten für Migration und Integration statt. Um darüber zu informieren, lädt der aktuelle Beirat in Kooperation mit der Kreisverwaltung zu einem Informationsabend. Dieser findet statt am Donnerstag, den 29. August 2024 um 18:30 Uhr in der Kreisverwaltung Mainz-Bingen in Ingelheim (Verona-Zimmer, Raum 458), Georg-Rückert-Straße 11. Hierzu sind alle Interessierten herzlich eingeladen.

Die Kommunalaufsicht der Kreisverwaltung wird über die Themen Listenaufstellung, Einreichung von Wahlvorschlägen, wichtige Termine und sonstige Aspekte im Zusammenhang mit der Wahl informieren sowie Fragen beantworten.

Die Hauptaufgabe des Beirates für Migration und Integration ist die Förderung und Sicherung des gleichberechtigten Zusammenlebens der im Landkreis wohnenden Menschen verschiedener Nationalitäten, Kulturen und Regionen sowie die Weiterentwicklung des kommunalen Integrationsprozesses.

Elections to the advisory councils for migration and integration and information evening

On November 10, 2024, elections will be held in Rhineland-Palatinate for the Advisory Councils for Migration and Integration. To provide information about this, the current advisory board is organizing an information evening in cooperation with the district administration. This will take place on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 6:30 pm at the Mainz-Bingen district administration in Ingelheim (Verona room, room 458), Georg-Rückert-Straße 11.
